PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST (METHOD VALIDATION) -BERKSHIRE AREA - Competitive Salary

A leading pharmaceutical organisation are currently recruiting for a Principal Scientist (Method Validation) to join their facility based in the Berkshire area on a permanent basis.



The core function of the role will be to handle the validation of a variety of analytical methods to support routine GMP testing of biopharmaceutical products.

You will design and execute experimental plans to validate analytical methods for use with recombinant biopharmaceutical products.

You will lead multiple studies for a range of analytical methods with a high level of complexity, and ensure work is executed appropriately for successful studies right first time.

Additionally you will be transferring analytical methods to other internal laboratories and sites, scope and identify new technologies, contribute to sales meetings and verify method performance meets the requirements defined in the analytical target profile.

To be considered for the role candidates will need to be Degree educated within a Life Sciences discipline, with working knowledge of protein structure, post translational modifications, degradation pathways and critical quality attributes relevant to biopharmaceutical products.

Hands on experience in validating analytical methods for use on novel biopharmaceutical products is essential, as is experience in solving technical problems observed during method development and routine method operation.

Experience in the use of statistical tools, such as DoE to support method optimisation is preferred.
