Product Analyst

Product Analyst  (initially a 12 months Contract) - Bridgwater - £35-40k
 
My client, a successful manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Product Analyst /Quality Analyst Chemist to work initially on a 12 month contract in my clients Quality department.

 The role is paying up to £35-40k and is a monday to friday day based role (37.5hrs)
 
The Quality Analyst Chemist will provide analysis of processes and test data, carrying out rigorous testing of products and materials.

The dedicated analysis is used to continuously monitor and analyse data from manufacturing operations that identifies potential trends and/or shifts in process settings.

The test data is used to support complaint investigations which will replace retrospective analysis and will identify potential issues as the occur.

As part of the role the Quality Analyst is responsible for maintaining the existing documentation control process based on the companys portal and managing the transfer of information to a cloud-based system.


 
The Product Analyst / Quality Chemist main duties will include:
- Work with Operations to assure that manufacturing data is available in a suitable format.


- Perform complex analytical testing of raw materials, products and intermediates.


- Physical and chemical testing of products and materials as and when required to support investigations and as part of routine testing.


- Monitor and analyse data to support continued compliance with Company specifications and accreditations.


- Propose changes, improvements, and process adjustments to improve quality or production outputs within the permitted parameters of the specification.


- Provide assistance and guidance to the production team that will improve product quality.

- Conduct internal quality systems audits.


- Undertake complex statistical analysis of production data to justify and verify decisions.


- Provide Certificates of Analysis, (CofA) and product samples for customer testing as required.

- Report product and procedural nonconformities to the Product Excellence & Quality Manager for further action.


 
The successful Product Analyst / Chemist will have:
·Experience in a Food, Pharmaceutical or Medical Industry
·Experience of chemical testing / analytical testing of materials / polymers
·Knowledge of Regulatory and Compliance such as ISO, BRC, ISO FSSC, Quality Auditor
·A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent in mathematics, engineering, or scientific discipline.


·Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing or Quality Management principles qualification
 
This role is commutable from Bridgwater, Taunton, Yeovil, Tiverton, Cheddar, Weston Super Mare and may suit a person that has previously worked as a Chemist, Chemical analyst, Lab Manager, Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Supervisor, Lab Analyst, Laboratory Analyst
