Stores Team Leader

Do you have experience in Stores and like to manage people?

Holt Engineering is looking for a Stores Team Leader to join a long-established and respected forward-thinking manufacturing company in Fareham!

DUTIES

- Ensure items received at goods in are processed in a timely manner in accordance with company procedure.
- Ensure production are fed with material (kitting) in accordance with relevant production plans.
- Ensure manufactured parts are safely and securely packaged and dispatched to arrive with our customers when planned, for the best cost.
- Ensure that every operator is trained for the tasks that they undertake and that this is correctly reflected in the skills matrix.

Also ensure that they have the correct tools / resources to do the job efficiently, know how long it is meant to take.
- To ensure the stores remains a bonded stores area and stock accuracy is maintained at all times.
- Ensure that all relevant PV procedures are being followed and carry our operator audits IAW PV505
- To respond to any difficulties that may occur immediately and assess the situation and make a judgement as to whether the job can carry on.
- To inform production management, daily if required, of any problems, which may affect delivery to customer & monthly targets.
- To act as a floater on any job where there is a requirement.

(If an operator is out sick for instance).
- Perform annual appraisals of Stores staff as required in accordance with company procedure.

SKILLS

- Good computer skills, using packages such as Microsoft Office & MRP systems
- Excellent communicator, written and verbal
- Ability to manage and motivate others
- Ability to work well in a busy environment
- Good time management skills
