An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Mental Health Nurse to work in an exceptional care home based in the Newcastle upon Tyne area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This is a purpose built facility providing a full rehabilitation and recovery pathway for service users who have enduring mental health needs.

It's a nursing/residential unit for persons from the age of 18 of mixed gender

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current active NMC Pin

As a Nurse your key responsibilities include:

• Provide leadership and supervision to the team and individuals including through personal development plans


• Act in a visible and accessible manner facilitating and coordinating person-centred care whilst ensuring the highest possible standards of evidence based care and treatment are provided


• Active engagement in service improvement through reflection, audit and networking


• To undertake the role of a named nurse for a cohort of residents and demand high quality care delivery focused on residents individually assessed needs and choices

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Have knowledge of the Mental Health Act


• Be patient centric and have a commitment to delivering high quality care


• Possess fine tuned decision making skills


• Have an excellent organisational capacity and effective communication skills


• Be flexible and have a strong "can do" attitude

The successful Nurse will receive an excellent salary of £20.50 per hour and the annual salary is up to £46,904 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working through Day Shifts.
