We welcome applications from Plant Fitters, a vehicle maintenance background, vehicle building, vehicle maintenance, vehicle manufacture and vehicle repair background, plant hire background
Working in a Manufacturing Engineering environment within the commercial vehicle industry must be able to read technical drawings.

Used to working to tight delivery timescales.
Duties of the Plant Fitter role;

To carry out servicing and repairs to a range of vehicle mounted municipal / specialist equipment at both our own company workshop and on site at customer premises.



Carrying out repairs, refurbishment & servicing to a variety of specialist municipal type vehicles / chassis mounted equipment.

• To Fit and commission a range of Bin Hoists


• Carry out fitment, calibration / testing of weighing systems


• To fit, commission and repair any new equipment in line with the ever-changing company portfolio


• To carry out fabrication and welding as required.


• Carry our effective job management


• To work to quality procedures and also Maintain Quality Standards


• Offer an excellent level of customer satisfaction


• Ensure work is done in line with good Health & Safety practices and also in line with the company health and safety policy


• Carry out any reasonable task that may be deemed appropriate by a line manager


• Diagnosis of faults on specialist municipal type equipment & associated components


• Repairs and servicing to a high standard


• Carry Out LOLER Examinations


• Fitment, calibration of weighing systems


• Fault diagnosis through computer aided software


• Carrying out research & development work


• Ensure jobs are completed to company standards and instructions

Responsibilities of the Plant Fitter role:

• To attend site at planned and variable times and arrive punctually to promised company and customer commitments


• Working overtime at short notice and travelling long distances as and when required


• Working with minimum amount of supervision especially when working at customer premises


• Maintain good housekeeping practices at customer premises and in company workshops


• Completion of work in a timely and efficient manor


• Ensure that any additional required work is logged and authorisation obtained from Supervisor to proceed


• For chargeable work ensure completion to Company quotes or refer to Supervisor for advice


• Attend product training in all related subjects to enhance skills and knowledge as required.
