Domestic Electrician

Service Care Solutions seeks a Domestic Electrician for HMP Prison Service.

Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing electrical installations.

Location: HMP Leicester

Responsibilities:



  • Install, maintain, service, and repair electrical installations, circuits, and wiring systems in residential properties.

  • Test and inspect electrical installations to ensure they comply with the 17th IEE wiring regulations.

  • Ensure compliance with regulations when maintaining and repairing electrical installations.

  • Replace circuits and consumer units and carry out full property rewiring as required.

  • Follow Company Health and Safety Policy, the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, and other statutory legislation.

  • Adhere strictly to Company Health and Safety and operational policies.

  • Comply with instructions and directives from line management and the Central Coordination-ordination Team.

  • Deliver electrical repairs and testing services in both occupied and vacant properties.

  • Perform out-of-hours callout duties as per rota requirements.


Qualifications:



  • Hold a City & Guilds (C&G) 2391 Inspection and Test or equivalent C&G 2394 & 5 qualification.

  • Possess a C&G 2382 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations certificate.

  • Hold a C&G Installation Certificate 2360/2351 or equivalent with Part 2 or NVQ.

  • Ideally hold a C&G 2393 Part P Qualification.

  • Completed Asbestos Awareness Training.

  • Completed C&G2377 PAT Testing Course.

  • Hold a current full UK driving license.


Experience:



  • Possess the required technical skills.

  • Ideally have at least two years of work-related experience.

  • Completed a time-served apprenticeship.
