My client is an established firm in the precision engineering manufacturing sector, based in north Leicester and commutable from Nottingham, Derby, Coalville and Hinckley.

They are currently looking for a skilled Design Engineer to produce accurate and economical drawings.
 
The Role - Mechanical Design Engineer:

- Designing and detailing bespoke items using sheet metal
- Liaising with clients during designing and coordinating with in house sales, quality and manufacturing teams
- Producing accurate and economical drawings
- Attending sites take measurements when needed
- Updating clients on the progress of their job
- Working independently and as part of a team

 
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Design Engineer:

- Minimum 2 years of using SolidWorks
- AutoCAD 2 years in a similar CAD Engineer role (preferred)
- Creating BOMS
- 2-3 years in a similar CAD Engineer role 
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- UK resident with a full driving licence (preferred)

The Package - Mechanical Design Engineer:

- Starting salary up to £35,000 per annum
- Free onsite parking
- 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
- Pension
