Costs Draftsman

A superb opportunity has just become available to join an innovative UK law firm as a Costs Draftsman in their Halifax office.

My client is a sizeable firm who practice across many areas of both commercial and personal law and are now looking to expand the firms team.

We would be highly interested in hearing from Costs Draftsman based in West Yorkshire who are keen to welcome a new and exciting challenge.

The role will include handling a range of Personal Injury matters including drafting bills of costs and negotiating costs.

Other duties will include:

• Draft detailed and accurate Bills of Costs for Detailed Assessment or Provisional Assessment.


• Drafting Schedules of Costs


• Draft Statement of Costs


• Draft Points of Dispute and Replies to claims for costs.


• Draft Costs Budgets and budget discussion reports


• Assist in the preparation of costs budgets and advise on costs budgets presented by an opposing party.

To be considered for this role, you will have an upwards of 2+ years' worth of experience as a Costs Draftsman with experience within the above.

You will have excellent knowledge of costs law and experience within handling your own costs caseloads from inception to conclusion.

It is essential that you have a law degree or equivalent.
