Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Surgery & Theatres

An excellent new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Surgery & Theatres to work in a reputable, exceptional private hospital based in the South Kensington, London area.

*To be considered for this position you must hold a degree in Pharmacy and a membership of General Pharmaceutical Council (GPC)

As the Senior Clinical Pharmacist your key responsibilities include:



  • Regular attendance of consultant wards rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings with contribution to any relevant multidisciplinary policies within the speciality

  • Delivery of a high quality, specialist ward based pharmacy service, including drug supply, review of highly complex drug regimens, medicine reconciliation, drug interactions monitoring, adverse drug reaction monitoring, discharge planning and rapid turnover of surgical TTAs

  • Empathise and counsel patients/carers who may be distressed, on all aspects of their medication to aid compliance and understanding

  • Deliver a high quality and comprehensive medicines counselling service to patients and/or their relatives on all aspects of their pharmaceutical care including specialist and unlicensed drugs.

    To overcome communication barriers through the use of interpreters or other forms of communication



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • CPD portfolio

  • Broad Clinical Pharmacy background including ward based work

  • Critical care experience

  • Advance level practice in another clinical speciality



The successful Senior Clinical Pharmacist will receive an excellent Competitive Salary.

This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week working from Monday-Friday.
