Speech & Language Therapist - Part time - London - Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with a leading healthcare provider. We are currently looking for a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership for the service.

This post is a part-time role based in Central London, which is easily accessible via public transport.

About the role:
As a Speech and Language Therapist , you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to patients is planned, delivered, and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice.

Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services.

Your main responsibilities as a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist:

- You will manage a caseload of clients to maximise their potential and enable them to enjoy the best possible quality of life via the delivery of an evidence based SLT service
- You will promote effective functional communication, social skills development, collaborative working and a total communication environment
- You will attend ward rounds, CPA’s and CTR’s for your client caseload and be involved in working as part of a team to develop MDT therapeutic interventions and Care Plans

What we are looking for in a Band 5 Speech & Language Therapist:

- HCPC approved Degree/ Masters (or equivalent) In Speech and Language Therapy
- To be registered with HCPC and RCSLT
- Experience in working with a client population who present with a diagnosis of Learning Disability /Autism (ASD), along with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Experience in or an interest in Dysphagia management (desirable but not essential)
