Job Title: Mechanical Technician

Salary: £43,050 (Permanent)

Working Hours: 06:00 - 15:00 (First Week) / 09:00 - 18:00 (Second Week)

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Location: Westminster, United Kingdom

Contract: Westminster City Council

We are looking for a Mechanical based technician to come and work at our Barnet Hospital base, your background should be more focused on the water aspects of the job, whilst having experience in FM.

Responsibilities:

• To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities


• To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI's


• To manage Contractors as necessary


• To integrate and communicate effectively with other trade staff such as engineers, particularly for mechanical maintenance, new and remedial works


• To carry out mechanical repairs and cleaning of mechanical components and equipment


• To respond promptly and efficiently to plant breakdowns

Applicants will be considered if you meet the requirements below:

• Recognised mechanical qualification


• Good knowledge of L8 Legionella & water maintenance


• Good knowledge of large building water distribution systems


• Experienced in building services and knowledge of air handling plant & water hygiene
