Salary: £26,037 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (including early and late shifts, and sleep-ins)

Summary:
Our organization is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Worker to join our team in Camden.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting adults with complex needs in their final step back into independent living, providing guidance on benefits applications, tenancy agreements, and overall support to enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities:



  • Supporting Adults with Complex Needs: Work closely with individuals with complex needs, empowering them to regain their independence and integrate back into the community.

  • Housing Assistance: Assist clients in securing suitable accommodation, managing tenancy agreements, and providing ongoing support to maintain their tenancies.

  • Benefits Guidance: Guide and support clients in accessing the appropriate benefits and financial assistance they are entitled to.

  • Personalized Support Plans: Develop individualized support plans for clients, outlining their goals, needs, and steps towards independent living.

  • Crisis Intervention: Be prepared to handle crisis situations and provide immediate support and intervention when necessary.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of interactions, progress, and support provided to clients.



Working Hours and Shifts:
Early Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Late Shift: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Two weekends on and two weekends off (Saturday and Sunday)
Approximately 4 sleep-ins a month (sleeping at the premises overnight)

Requirements:



  • Previous experience working as a Housing Support Worker or in a similar role is desirable.

  • Knowledge of benefits systems, tenancy agreements, and housing support services is advantageous.

  • Empathy, patience, and a person-centered approach in providing care and support.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with clients.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and external agencies.

  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and sleep-ins.
