Manufacturing Engineer

My client, an industry leading electronics design and manufacturer are looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to join their innovative Research and Development team based in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, based in Clacton-on-Sea you will be responsible for improving and developing methods, systems and product designs to ensure high quality finished goods are produced.

You will be responsible for the continuous process, product and manufacturing improvements, determining problem resolutions and implementing fixes.

You will provide input into the design and development of new and existing products and systems, working closely with the Production, test and Quality Assurance departments within the company.

You will be involved with the prototyping, assembly and initial validation of new products, along with the design, build and test of electronic/electro-mechanical jigs and fixtures.

You will apply a practical, hands-on approach to build and soldering tasks, provide occasional technical support for internal departments and take responsibility for multiple project coordination and planning.

The ideal Manufacturing Engineer candidate, based in Clacton-on-Sea you will have a good working understanding of electronic and circuit design principles.

You will ideally have completed a HNC/HND in an Electronics discipline or hold equivalent experience.

You will have a strong work ethic and be motivated to learn new skills and processes to promote product improvements.

Prior experience in electronic component handling and mechanical engineering/design experience is also desirable.
