Are you a skilled Mechanical Engineer looking for your next opportunity within a company that has been market-leading for over 50 years in their industry? 

We are currently in search of a semi-experienced mechanical fitter or machine builder to join the team.

The ideal candidate should possess experience in the construction and assembly of bespoke machines, as well as the ability to work from engineering drawings.

This role is commutable from Leicester, Loughborough, Market Harborough, Lutterworth, Rugby and Melton Mowbray

Current roles could include: Mechanical fitter, Mechanical Engineer Mechanical assembler, Machine tool fitter, Machine-tool fitter, Machine builder
 
The Role of Mechanical Engineer:

- Building and assembling bespoke cutting machines and sub-assemblies
- Ability to work on technical engineering drawings
- Mechanical fitting on bespoke machines
- Using precision measuring instruments including micrometres and vernier callipers 
- Occasional use of mills and lathes for machining
- Opportunity to TIG weld (training provided)
- Aligning ball screws and linear rails

The Mechanical Fitter Candidate:

- Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings
- Experience with measuring equipment is preferred but not essential.
- Experience in surface scraping would be an advantage, working from engineering drawings.
- Experience of mechanical/electrical assembly is essential
- Problem-solving skills
- Be self-motivated and a team player with a focus on high quality and standards
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Full clean driving licence is required for occasional site visits circa 1-2 times per year

Package and Benefits:

- Salary between £28,000-£30,000
- 8am – 16:30pm Monday - Friday
