My client, a leader in their field, develops, manufactures and packages specialist nutritional products and food ingredients.

 They are based in Bridgwater and are now seeking a Quality Manager to join their team.

 The ideal candidate will be a skilled and dedicated Quality manager/ Quality Supervisor with proven experience in food manufacturing.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards, collaborating with cross functional teams and driving continuous improvement and will form part of the onsite management team.

 This role will suit an ambitious quality manager / quality supervisor looking to develop their career.

You will be managing a small quality / Technical team and report into the COO.


 
 
Quality Manager Main duties will include:
·Ensure that Quality and Food Safety management systems are continually reviewed, maintained, and updated.


·Advise SLT of any quality updates, control and food safety issues and present plausible solutions.


·Ensure that the Food Safety team are fully qualified and trained to meet the company requirements.


·Help to develop and maintain a culture in which quality production is top priority and a spirit of continuous improvement is fostered
·Implement and maintain programs to ensure compliance with 3rd party industry standards (e.g., BRC, Informed Manufacturer [LGC-Banned Substance control], etc.)
·Lead the HACCP Team and initiatives as well as on-going continuous improvement efforts including facilitating, organising, training, and advising.


·Maintain, monitor, reviews and implements GMPs, HACCP and Work Instructions to ensure highest quality products and plant environment
·Lead VACCP and TACCP activities, research and record keeping including horizon scanning and internal briefings
·Liaise with third party technical service providers (e.g., Analytical and microbiology labs) to arrange testing of materials and finished products as required for both routine and exceptional analyses.

Hours:  Monday - Thursday 08:00 to 17:30 Friday - 08:00 to 13:00
