Mechanical Engineer

This permanent Mechanical Engineer role is working on a site investing over £50million into expansion and upgrade projects across the operation.

This role is working on a chemical site of one of the largest global producers of the specialist chemical product manufactured across their sites.

To maintain their status as a market trailblazer within the sector, this organisation has ambitious but stable expansion and investment strategies covering the next 5-10 years in which the Mechanical Engineering team will be key in supporting.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:-



  • Collating statistics, carrying out analysis and addressing issues from any reactive maintenance to prevent reoccurrence.

  • Conducting reviews of the preventative maintenance programme and work practices to ensure the correct asset care programme is applied to all assets to deliver the needs of the customer.

  • Managing and delivering sustenance projects to address equipment dependability or obsolescence risks.

  • Manage the programme of thermography and ultrasound analysis to identify and remediate potential risks to equipment or energy utilisation savings and efficiencies

  • Drive FMECA process.


To be successful in this position as an Mechanical Engineer you will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level.

Ideally, the successful Mechanical Engineer will have a background working within chemical manufacturing or high hazard operations.
