Family Contact Worker - Manchester

Are you a passionate, dedicated Family Contact Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Family Contact Worker to join a team based in Manchester. 

Umbrella Pay: £18.27 per hour

Duration: 14/08/2023 – 3 months initially

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:30 - 17:00, 35 hrs/week – Office based 

Family Contact Worker role: Full JD Available

• Work alongside the social work team
• Facilitate and supervise family time with looked after children and their families
• Make an observation of the family time for social workers assessment
• Work with the families to resolve any behavioural and emotional issues that may arise from Contact
• Provide advice and guidance to parents where needed on things such as child development, guidance on play
• Build strong and trusting working relationships with the children, families and all staff
• Transport of the children where needed
• Demonstrate a clear understanding of Child Protection procedures and principles and MCC social work procedures relating to court proceedings
• Ensure that the Child’s Contact Record is complete with sufficient information

Essential Requirements:

• Available to start asap
• Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insurance
• Recent extensive experience working with vulnerable children and families
• Nurturing approach
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
• Must already have an Enhanced Children and Adult DBS registered to the update service
