MASH Practice Manager

West Sussex County Council is looking for an experienced Practice Manager to join their Children's MASH Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

As Team Manager you will lead, motivate, nurture, and manage a team to deliver a children's social care service on a day to day basis.

You will be responsible for ensuring the service provided is effective and delivering the required outcomes, as well as ensuring cases are dealt with in a timely manner.

You will ensure that children and young people are adequately protected in line with our policies, procedures and relevant legislation.

Your responsibilities as a MASH Practice Manager:

• Delivery of an effective, customer focused service to meet defined performance indicators and business strategies.
  
  Responsible for managing a team including the performance management and professional development of those staff.
  
  


• This will include establishing regular individual and group supervision arrangements, mentoring, setting and monitoring targets and objectives and balancing this with the development of skills and ongoing training.
  
  


• Enable and challenge others to develop their knowledge base and make knowledge informed judgments, including improved independent decision-making regarding risk.
  
  


• Model and use critical reflective skills in management, practice or organisational supervision settings to enhance practice.
  
  


• Model and help others to maintain professional/personal boundaries and the skilled use of self in more complex situations.
  
  Including supporting an environment that promotes learning and practice development within the workplace.
  
  

Requirements of you as a MASH Practice Manager:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)


• A valid Social Work England registration


• Have competent knowledge and experience of working as a Team Manager in a MASH Team

Location: Horsham, West Sussex

Umbrella pay rate: Up to £47.50p/h
