Automotive Aftermarket Parts & Repairer Network


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager, covering Northern UK, to drive aftermarket parts sales and management of a Repairer Network on behalf of a global vehicle manufacturer.


Our ideal candidate will have a first-class knowledge in the areas of automotive parts, franchise dealer operations and independent aftermarket repairers.


Salary ££competitive dependent upon experience + car + pension + income protection + life assurance + 25 days holiday


Ideal Location - M62 corridor - Manchester, Stockport, Oldham, Rochdale, Bury, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield, Brighouse, Dewsbury, Batley


Our ideal candidate



  • Ability to develop strong business relationships managing the process from initial contact to supporting the onboarding of independent garages to the programme.

  • An extensive knowledge and experience of the independent garages and franchise dealers.

  • Good knowledge of business data and the ability to interrogate data.

  • Experience of aftersales process best practice implementation.

  • Excellent commercial awareness including working knowledge of budgets, KPIs, return on investment, marketing principles, training, coaching and strategic planning principles.

  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to work within tight and demanding deadlines.

  • Capable of developing excellent operating relationships at all levels within dealers and independent network.


The position



  • Identify, prospect and contact suitable independent dealers and repairers within a defined area.

  • Present and explain the features and benefits of the programme at all management levels.

  • Provide on-going support to franchisees enabling growth in parts sales and purchase loyalty.

  • Support franchise member's events, shows and marketing initiatives.

  • On-boarding of franchisee members including systems and processes.

  • Support and coach franchisee staff in customer handling and sales techniques.

  • Implementation and support national programmes and initiatives.

  • Coach franchisees in the production of marketing plans, local marketing activity, strategy and monitor deployment.

  • Implementation of workshop reporting process, result analysis production of action plans as necessary.

  • Ensure minimum standards are adhered to for both customer service and physical standards.
