CMM Programmer

Because of continued and heightened demand of their products manufactured at the Bradford site, they are now recruiting a number CMM Programmer vacancies to join their team on a permanent basis.

Based in Bradford, the successful CMM Programmer will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Oldham, Pontefract, Barnsley and Castleford.

Key responsibilities of the CMM Programmer will include:

• Conducting mechanical & dimensional inspection of internally & externally machined components, using a variety of measuring instruments including Coordinate Measuring Machine, Faro Arm, Micrometres, Callipers, Verniers and Gauges


• Accurately checking that components & parts conform to agreed manufacturing tolerances and raising issues & route cause investigations where necessary


• Completing paperwork & reports accurately completed in a timely manner, ensuring that the audit trail is continuously maintained with appropriate information

For the CMM Programmer, we are looking for applicants who possess:

• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC, HND etc.)


• Previous experience programming coordinate measuring machines, using either Zeiss Calypso or Mitutoyo MCOSMOS


• A strong understanding of auditing procedures & processes

Working Hours of the CMM Programmer:

2 Options available:

• Option 1: Weekly rotating AM (6AM-2PM), PM (2PM-10PM and night shifts (10PM-6AM) - 27% Shift allowance applied


• Option 2: Permanent night shifts - 10PM to 6AM Monday to Thursday - 29% Shift allowance applied

In return, the CMM Programmer will receive:

• Renumeration: Between £34,290.00 - £38,700.00 depending on ability & shift selected


• Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days - rising to 38 days with continued service


• 6% Annual Bonus (up to £1,800.00)

• 6% Employer Pension Contribution
