Senior Accountant / Practice Manager

Location: London (Remote work with one day in the office)

The Client:

Our client is an innovative professional services firm specialising in startups and SMEs.

They provide strategic advisory services and comprehensive back-office support across Finance, HR, and Administration.

The Role:

They are looking for a Senior Accountant / Practice Manager to join their team and lead the delivery of Accounting & Finance services, contributing to their vision.

You will supervise the daily functions of their accounting practice, prioritising client contentment, and propelling the firms expansion.

Duties:



* Effectively oversee a varied client portfolio, guaranteeing top-tier service.


* Direct the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts.


* Formulate progressive accounting policies and technology-based protocols.


* Guide and foster junior team members, fostering a spirit of collaboration.


* Spearhead growth initiatives and elevate the scope of service provisions.


* Manage practice operations comprehensively and act as the firms ambassador at industry events.


Requirements:



* Possess at least 5 years accountancy practice experience.


* Hold a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or AAT Level 4 preferred).


* Demonstrate adeptness in technical accounting (FRS 102 1A), UK tax compliance, and reporting.


* Showcase proficiency in M&A, fundraising, and tax planning.


* Exhibit mastery in accounting software (Xero, Dext) and reporting tools (Fathom, Spotlight, Syft).


* Leverage experience in software integrations using low code/no code tools.
