Approved Mental Health Practitioner

Brent Borough Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their AMHP Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

This is a locum social work post offering flexibility to work from home and in the office.

The AMHP will be contributing to the AMHP rota, completing MCA assessments and working with Vulnerable Adults.

Your responsibilities as a AMHP Social Worker:

• Carry out Care Act 2014 assessments


• Carry out MCA assessments


• Undertake Section 42 enquires


• Liaise with doctors and key agencies to ensure the best outcome for service users


• Responsible for sectioning individuals if deemed necessary


• Contributing to the AMHP rota


• Dealing with vulnerable Adults that have Mental Health difficulties and may also have a background of substance misuse

Requirements of you as a AMHP Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

• A valid Social Work England registration


• AMHP degree (AMHP warrant)

Location: Greater London, Brent

Umbrella pay rate: £40.00 per hour
