Injection Moulding Setter

The Role

The Injection Moulding Technician is required to start up, make necessary process adjustments, and troubleshoot production runs while ensuring that the moulding machine are running within specified parameters.

This position also entails performing quality checks on parts that are being produced and documenting the findings.

Responsible for producing Reports and making recommendations on existing tooling and new tooling.

The successful candidate be required to have a proven track record and be able to read and understand technical tool drawings.

The candidate will not be managing a team at present but could be opportunities in the future to move into a Lead/Supervisory role, So lead experience would be an advantage but not a necessity.

Main Responsibilities

• Cycle time adherence and reporting exceptions.
• Setting of tools and optimising the quality of the product
• Carry out Tool and Material trials as and when required.
• Produce quality products in line with our customer expectations.
• Machine safety checks and checks of equipment before use.
• Machine housekeeping internal/external.
• Ensuring that raw material waste is kept to a minimum.
• Complete Reports with clear and concise Information
• Complete written and verbal handovers and the end/start of shift.
• Quick and effective communication with other departments.
• Execution of Tool/Material changes in your area.
• Regular communication with team and shift manager
• Material and Maguire set up.
• Any other reasonable request made by your manager
• Support and maintain production in other areas of the factory.
  

   

  Injection Moulding Setter 

  The Candidate

• A Minimum of 2 years tool loading experience
• Understanding of AutoCAD (Desirable)
• Qualified at IMT Level 4 (Desirable)
• Will a detailed Understanding of toolmaking and Design

• Ability to work to your own initiative and prioritise workload

• Supervisory experience desirable
• Good understanding of tool making and design
• Competency in reporting and presenting information
