Location: Sandbach, Cheshire

Salary: £45k - £55k per year + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client, a specialist fabrications manufacturer, is recruiting for a Quality Manager to join their expanding team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each part of the manufacturing process has been correctly completed.

You will perform detailed inspections to make sure that products meet or exceed industry standards, eliminating anything not up-to-code and finding reasons behind any issues found in these inspections.

Responsibilities:



* Building a team of inspectors, internal and external KPI delivery and promoting continuous improvement and quality initiatives.


* Focusing on SQCDP (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People) as key performance indicators.


* Utilising tools such as 8D Problem Solving, 5S (implementation and management), OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies), and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) to promote a culture of safety and zero waste.


* Developing and improving the existing IATF 16949 quality management system to efficiently meet stakeholder expectations.


* Establishing and leading a team of inspectors responsible for managing day-to-day production requirements independently.


* Taking ultimate responsibility and autonomy for meeting customer expectations, including KPI management (internal and external),


* Implementing quality initiatives to achieve objectives such as maintaining PPM (Parts per Million) below 100, and reducing CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) by 80%.


* Managing change processes and driving continuous improvement efforts.


Requirements:



* Previous experience in a similar role as a Quality Manager, Quality Auditor, Quality Assurance Manager, QA Manager, Technical Manager, Quality Control, or Quality Assurance Lead within the Fabrications/Manufacturing/Engineering industry


* Must have experience of IATF 16949 Quality Management System


* Strong focus on implementing continuous improvement initiatives using tools like 8D Problem Solving, 5S, OEE, SMED, and TPM.


* Proven leadership skills to build and manage a team of inspectors.


* Experience in developing and maintaining quality management systems to meet stakeholder expectations.


* Track record of meeting customer expectations and managing quality-related KPIs.


* Experience in scheduling, carrying out, and conducting audits


Schedule:



* Monday to Thursday, 07:30 to 16:30


* Friday: 07:30 to 12:30
