This role is based from either East Grinstead HQ or Northampton site


IT Infrastructure Technician required for leading client to be responsible for providing 2nd / 3rd level IT infrastructure and network support, and delivery of project based work.



Key Responsibilities:



, Acts as nominated technical lead on assigned IT Infrastructure and/or Network projects
, Infrastructure and/or network design and delivery for new site openings
, Technical Administration and management of MS365, Azure cloud hosting and Azure Active Directory tenancy
, 2nd / 3rd level IT Infrastructure and Network Support
, Full lifecycle management of physical infrastructure, cloud and network assets (servers, VM's, switches, routers, AP's etc)
, Azure cloud resource provisioning, administration, patching, monitoring and support, in line with agreed IT Security policies and procuedures
, Virtual server containerization provisioning, administration and support (e.g.

Docker)
, Monitor, manage and configure WLAN network including DHCP and DNS
, Monitor and manage hosted database services
, Monitor and troubleshoot network availability and performance
, Routine site reviews and inventory of IT network infrastructure within the estate
, Provision and supports end-user-computing deployment and management capability to 1st level team, via MS InTune
, On-site infrastructure/network device support, including (but not limited to): IP Telephony, switches, routers, Wireless Access Points
, Coordination of 3rd party service providers for new installations, maintenance work and service restoration



Key Skills:



, Self-starter, ability to prioritise own workload and drive outcomes from others
, 2nd/3rd level IT support and problem-solving experience across a range of technologies and solutions
, Proven experience in the support and management of MS365 environment, e.g.

Active Directory, InTune etc
, Proven experience in the provision and management of Windows and Linux virtual servers in Azure
, Proven experience in deployment and management of containerization solutions such as, Docker, Kubernetes and Portainer
, Proven experience in the management of DHCP and DNS
, Experienced with APM / Observability tooling, such as Solarwinds, Dynatrace, Elastic or equivalent tooling
, Experienced with network diagnosis and troubleshooting techniques and tooling such as WireShark or equivalent
, Excellent communication skills
, Excellent problem-solving skills
, Teamwork and collaboration skills
, Technical project management skills
, Proven network infrastructure design / architecture experience, e.g new site implementations and expansions
, Experienced with deployment and management of VoIP telephony solutions such as MS Teams Phone or equivalent



The salary for this role is £40,000 - £45,000 per annum with excellent benefits
