Underwriter (Casualty Insurance) - 3 days remote working

Underwriter
Salary up to £45k (Neg) + annual bonus
25 days holiday
3x Death in Service
3% pension (based on contributing 5%)
Hybrid working model, minimum 2 days per week in the office

My client is seeking a successful Underwriter who has experience in a mixed portfolio with exposure to commercial risks.

You will be responsible for underwriting profitable renewals on a day-to-day basis, whilst assisting brokers with the smooth running of existing policies.

responsibilities.
The day-to-day:
, Pro-actively managing renewals & new business quotes for a Commercial book
, Underwriting varying commercial risks within guidelines
, Liaising with key stakeholders both internally and externally
, Ensuring all documentation and systems are kept up to date and provided to
supporting brokers in a timely manner
, Actively engaging with brokers with regard to new business enquiries
, Ensuring SLA's are met

Your experience:
, Ideally you'll have 4-5 years experience successfully underwriting a mixed portfolio
with exposure to commercial risks
, A varied skill set that includes strong communication (both written and verbal),
negotiation, analytical, and IT skills.
, Previous experience within an MGA or commercial insurance underwriting role
would be advantageous and desirable.
