Job Title: Housing Support Worker
Location: Liverpool (Surrounding Areas)
Contract: 4-Month Temporary Contract
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm

Position Overview:
As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and families secure stable housing and navigate the complexities of benefits and tenancy agreements.

This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and partner agencies.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct assessments of client housing needs and provide appropriate support.

  • Assist clients in finding suitable housing options.

  • Provide guidance and assistance with benefits applications and tenancy agreements.

  • Advocate on behalf of clients to access necessary benefits.

  • Offer emotional and practical support to clients facing housing and benefits challenges.

  • Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures.



Qualifications and Experience:



  • Essential: Possession of a valid driving license and access to your own car.

  • Essential: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant background in social services.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Knowledge of local housing services, benefits, and tenancy agreements (preferred).
