Conveyancing Assistant

Sacco Mann are working with an excellent firm of Solicitors in Sheffield who are looking to add an experienced conveyancing assistant to their team.

The role would suit a Sheffield based conveyancing assistant with upwards of 12 months hands on conveyancing support experience, dealing with residential sales and purchases.



Responsibilities:



  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the conveyancing team, including file management, document preparation, and correspondence.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of relevant documents, such as contracts, searches and completion statements.

  • Conduct thorough research and obtain relevant information regarding property titles, searches, and other related matters.

  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, estate agents, and other relevant parties to facilitate the progress of conveyancing transactions.

  • Manage and update client databases and electronic filing systems accurately and efficiently.

  • Assist with the preparation of completion statements, invoices, and other financial documentation.

  • Handle incoming telephone calls and emails professionally and promptly, providing assistance or redirecting inquiries as necessary.

  • Monitor critical dates and deadlines, ensuring all necessary actions are taken in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless workflow and effective communication within the department.



Requirements:



  • A minimum of 12 months' experience gained within a residential conveyancing team, dealing with residential sales and purchases.

    Sadly, those with only remortgage experience will not be considered

  • Sound knowledge of the conveyancing process, legal terminology, and documentation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

  • A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
