Executive Chef, High volume Conference and Events Venue

Salary: £55,000

Location: Birmingham

Predominantly Monday to Friday

We are looking for a highly talented Executive Chef with experience leading and nurturing a team in a high-volume conference and events venue or hotel.

A resilient, creative, and innovative chef, one where food is at the forefront of what you do, and this filters down through your team.

You will have a fantastic eye for detail and be up to date with food trends.

Someone who is astute in compliance, health and safety, food hygiene and all due diligence.

About the role:


  • A variety of different functions predominantly Monday to Friday catering for between 100 – 300.
  • Client facing, to develop the menu and create new and exciting dishes.
  • Stock control, ordering and wastage management.
  • Full P&L accountability.
  • Purchasing and menu costing.
  • Running the day-to-day kitchen operation.
  • Scheduling and labour cost control.
  • Leading a team of 9.

Skills and Experience:


  • Stable CV with previous experience catering for conferences and events/ hotel background.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Well organised and hard working.
  • Professional, can-do attitude.
