Client Engagement Lead – FMCG – Premium Tea Brand - £50K + Benefits

Position:             Client Engagement Lead 

Salary:                £50,000 + Benefits

Location:            Field Based

My client is a growing Premium Tea business who have ambitions to become a market leader and quickly gained a reputation for delivering an award winning organic tasty product.

They are seeking a Client Engagement Leadto join their Sales & Marketing team to drive the growth of the business.

The Client Engagement Leadwill be responsible for delivering the passion, commitment and commercial success required to meet business ambitions and objectives, enhancing the reputation of the brand, whilst building productive client relationships and being accountable for the future success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling, promoting and delivering the Company’s product portfolio and delivering its revenue targets 
  • Working with clients (Foodservice & Retail – as defined) to understand their needs and achieve their goals
  • Drafting business proposals with clients, defining requirements, timelines and overall value proposition
  • Monitoring Key performance indicators and business deliverables
  • Acting as a Brand Ambassador to and for clients and consumers
  • Planning, organising and facilitating client meetings
  • Driving sales and revenue
  • Allocation of time and resources for key clients / customers
  • Planning, actioning, reviewing, re-planning and continuing to execute the business plans agreed to ensure the goals are met
  • Identifying training needs and opportunities
  • Act as the primary point of new client contact on behalf of the Company
  • Create long-term partnerships and relationships with clients
  • Assist clients in managing their internal stakeholder relationships
  • Be alert to and cultivate business leads and opportunities with new clients
  • Accountability for delivering Gross & Net sales Targets and managing budget and expenditure
  • Contribute to the development of the Company and drive best practice
  • Work with other senior staff to plan resources and the strategic direction of the business
  • Support development and testing of new brand / product offerings in alignment with client needs and company positioning

The Ideal Client Engagement Lead:

  • Good knowledge of the Foodservice and Retail sectors; ideally with some knowledge of Tea products and premium end clients, but this is not essential.
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing nature.
  • Be a self-starter who is driven to succeed.
  • A customer-oriented approach to account management which aims to exceed expectations.
  • Experience in both reactive and proactive sales skills.
  • Excellent brand and product knowledge.
  • A passion for expanding business.
  • A strong and assertive style to self-management and motivation.
  • Proven experience of working within a sales environment.
  • Proven experience of developing and increasing business.
