Assistant Room Leader (Level 3 in Childcare)

Location: Mill Hill, North London

Salary: Up to £27, 000 + Excellent Benefits

Full Time, 8:00 - 18:00, 40 hours, 50 weeks per year

The Role:

As an Assistant Room Leader, you will work in their vibrant Baby Room, assisting the Room Leader in leading a team of dedicated practitioners.

Responsibilities:



* Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to practitioners, aiding skill development.


* Classroom Oversight: Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a nurturing environment.


* Performance Management: Lead evaluation, feedback, and skill enhancement for practitioners.


* Learning Journals: Maintain child-specific online journals, tracking progress and achievements.


* Leadership Backup: Step into Room Leader role when absent, ensuring uninterrupted quality learning.


Requirements:



* Previous experience working as an Assistant Room Leader or in a similar role.


* Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years, in line with Gov/OFSTED guidelines.


* Extensive experience in an Early Years setting, with leadership and room management experience.


* Proficiency in a play-based approach to childrens learning and a deep understanding of the EYFS.
