Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a local authority in the South West region who are seeking a Senior Housing Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a contract basis.

ROLE: Senior Housing Litigation Solicitor
LOCATION: South West / remote working
CONTRACT: 3 months ongoing
RATE: £45.00 to £50.00 per hour

Please note this this role is predominantly remote but may require occasional office attendance.

The Role of the Senior Housing Litigation Solicitor



  • To provide contentious legal support with a focus on regulatory, Housing and enforcement work

  • Cases will include public protection, housing (anti-social behaviour) planning control and trading standards alongside some general civil litigation and regulatory matters

  • To present cases before the Magistrates' and County Courts, alongside advising on requests for information

  • Some court-facing work is conducted through remote hearings, although these arrangements are subject to review by the courts.


The Person



  • A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 2 years' PQE

  • Experience din managing a full caseload of Housing Litigation through to completion

  • Previous experience of working in a local authority would be highly advantageous
