Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of talented Java developers, providing technical guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative environment.


• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient Java-based applications and systems.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and architect robust solutions.


• Drive the development process, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and project timelines.


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, proposing and implementing innovative ideas to improve software development processes and tools.


• Conduct code reviews, perform debugging and troubleshooting activities to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  
  A higher degree is a plus.


• Extensive professional experience as a Java developer, demonstrating expertise in Java EE, Spring Framework, and other relevant technologies.


• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices.


• Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.


• Previous experience in the financial industry or FinTech sector is highly desirable.

Location: London, UK / Hybrid Working

Salary: £90,000 - £130,000 + Bonus + Pension + Benefits
