Assistant Nursery Manager - Potters Bar

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £24,000 - £25,000 per year, depending on experience

Job Position: Assistant Nursery Manager

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an exceptional Assistant Nursery Manager for a client in the early childhood education sector.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to take a leadership position in the daily operations of a reputable nursery, providing critical support in the absence of the Nursery Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of an outstanding Montessori and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Guide and support the teaching team in creating an enriching, safe, and nurturing environment for young children.
• Facilitate regular staff meetings and training sessions, fostering continuous professional development.
• Collaborate with parents to maintain open lines of communication regarding children's progress and promptly address any concerns.
• Ensure rigorous record-keeping and report generation in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Contribute to the refinement and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring they align with best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

• We are searching for an individual who is deeply passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering exceptional care and support for children and their families.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a nursery or early childhood education setting.
• While a Montessori qualification is preferred, it is not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its practical application in a nursery setting.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate and lead a team of educators and support staff.
• Valid First Aid and DBS certification.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training.
• Any additional relevant qualifications or certifications will be considered an asset.
• Familiarity with online educational journals is a plus.
