Engineering Technical Authoring

Location: Bristol or Barrow, (3-4 days onsite per month)

Salary: Up to £50k plus overtime

The Support Services Engineering Team:

The role will enable the candidate to gain an in depth understanding about how submarines operate and offer the chance to deal with all aspects of the submarine program.

The role deals with a wide range of stakeholders offering the chance to engage on many different levels and aspects of submarine design

What you'll be doing as a Technical Authoring Engineer:

• Understanding of the Technical Publications programme


• Understanding and ability to apply the Technical


• Evaluating the impact of Engineering Change on support deliverables for systems and equipment


• Technical Documentation functions to maintain records

Your skills and experiences as an Technical Authoring Engineer:

• Collect, collate, summarise and input information or data


• Engineering Qualification


• Some understanding the system Design Engineering process


• Use computerised systems to collect, summarise, analyse, input or extract data


• Document and record deliverables and milestones
