The Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Due to an increase in business and growth, my client is looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer who will be part of a dynamic and innovative design team, creating electrical  & pneumatic designs associated with automation machinery.

You will also work alongside engineers and other professionals, to create and enhance the electrical  schemes, which form a vital part of the products my client produce, whilst contributing to the evolution of their processes 

The Company

A company with in excess of 40 years’ experience providing bespoke turnkey automation, ranging from fully integrated high throughput cells to stand-alone machines.

Key Responsibilities

- Produce electrical designs that are compliant with and conform to, all relevant Codes of Practice, Company and Industry Standards

- From approved designs, produce Electrical Parts Lists/Bill of Materials, for all electrical and pneumatic aspects of a project

- Collaborate with colleagues to produce electrical layouts for automated machinery and associated components

- Provide technical support during the build, testing and commissioning project phases 

The Right Person

The successful Electrical Design Engineer will will have proven electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical experience within the automation industry as well as the following key skills:

- Ability to follow electrical and pneumatic schematic diagrams and drawings

- Conversant in the use of AutoCad and highly skilled with EPlan software

- Proven electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical experience within the automation industry

- Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostics, test and repair of electronic/electrical, pneumatic and  mechanical systems
