Social Worker

A Local Authority in North London is looking for a Team Manager within Adults Social Work to join their Independence and Access Team on a locum basis, offering a competitive pay rate of up to £43.00 per hour.

Responsibilities of you as a Team Manager:



  • To manage and lead a multi disciplinary team including OT's, SW, Cares Officers, and Community Care Officers to deliver high quality customer services to the public relating to adult social care and safeguarding, ensuring all customer service targets are met.

    ensuring the service provided is consistent, effective and delivers positive outcomes for individuals/ carers/ family in ways that demonstrate Haringey Values;

  • To provide robust decision making and risk management and identify appropriate case care pathways for customers with complex care needs

  • To ensure that resources are utilised effectively within the multidisciplinary team

  • To develop and adopt new ways of working to maximise independence and improve outcomes for users of the service.

  • To ensure that all SU's assessments, support plans and actions are completed in a timely way and if required transfer plans completed

  • To identify opportunities to collaborate with other managers across Adult Services and the wider health and social care system to maximise independence and improve outcomes for service users at every stage

  • To assist the Head of Service in leading, setting and implementing a performance management framework and ambitious service performance targets, practice standards and competencies within employees profession fields of work

  • To identify CCO's training needs, and provide coaching and development to ensure CCO's have the skills and knowledge required to effectively carry out their role.

  • To resolve day to day operational problems and issues to ensure the service achieves its Key Performance Indicators.


Requirements of you as a Team Manager:



  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)

  • A valid Social Work England registration

  • Experience as an Adults Manager
