D365 Project Manager

D365 Project Manager - Hybrid/Birmingham


The Project Manager will work with customers and colleagues to ensure that the project service is defined and mobilised successfully and maintained throughout the lifetime of the engagement.

They will take full ownership and accountability for the management of all assigned engagements requiring a project manager.

They will lead, the planning and execution of engagements including leading planning workshops in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders, ensure engagements are adequately resourced and be responsible for effective budgetary control of management engagements.


This is a customer-facing role, requiring excellent communication skills at all levels and a good understanding of relevant Microsoft technical platforms.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Accountable for all project management aspects of assigned engagements.

  • Ensure that the project service is defined and mobilised efficiently.

  • Working with PMO team, ensure that assigned engagements continue to be adequately resourced.

  • Responsible and accountable for effective budgetary control of managed engagements including production of accurate financial forecasting

  • Manage engagements using adopted project management tools (DevOps, Teams and MS project) in line with the agreed service delivery models.

  • Completion of internal month-end project accounting processes

  • Ensuring contractual commitments as per Statement of Work (SoW) are delivered

  • Timely and accurate project management reporting as agreed with the customer

  • Facilitate risk and issue workshops with project teams and document results in appropriate RAID

  • Liaise effectively with resources (e.g.

    Principal Consultant, Account Manager and/or Lead Consultant) and Customer resources (e,g.

    Scrum Master or identified peer)

  • Ensure that service acceptance criteria are met as well as completion of the solution design

  • Work with the customer to review and improve the service (g.

    continuous improvement) and adopt these improvements into Crimson's service delivery frameworks

  • Support the PMO Practice in internal improvement initiatives and assist with rolling out best practice to the wider organisation.


Technical Skills



  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud technologies (Office 365, D365 CE, Azure DevOps, MS Project)

  • Practical experience of Agile/Scrum IT project management methodologies

  • Relevant project management accreditation





The salary/package for this position is £45,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience, with excellent benefits and flexible working opportunities.
