Quantity Surveyor

A Quantity Surveyor is required for a reputable principal contractor in the roofing, cladding, curtain wall & glazing sector, based in Portsmouth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Subcontractor and Client management


• Keep Commercial Manager appraised of progress of client and SC accounts

The Candidate:

• Verbal and written communication, including ability to listen to determine client needs, communicating them to the construction crew and preparing reports.


• Numerical and data analysis skills.


• Customer service for client satisfaction.


• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.


• Understanding of engineering science, construction and technology.


• Understanding of current building, health and safety regulations.


• Computer literacy and confidence using office and electronic project management programs.


• Good commercial awareness.


• Good attention to detail.


• Good time management.

Education and Experience:

• Ideally a post graduate qualification in a surveying related subject.


• At least three years of experience in a similar role
