Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

ELECTRICAL BIAS - MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Location: Swadlincote, South Derbyshire

Type: Permanent, Full-time

Salary: £30,000 - £44,000per annum (dependent on experience) + Shift Allowance

Shift Pattern: Continental Shifts (2 days on/5 off/2 nights on, 2 days on/4 off/3 nights on, 3 days on/5 off/2 nights on)

Responsibilities:

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will:

Perform day-to-day maintenance activities (electrical and mechanical)

Execute reactive and proactive work, including PPM and improvement tasks

Actively and analytically fault find

Contribute to implementing new working methods and participate in continuous improvement

Be involved in site projects and maintain maintenance monitoring

Mentor Apprentices within the Engineering department

Attend and participate in daily engineering steering, weekly root cause analysis, and monthly energy meetings

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential:

Previous experience as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in the manufacturing sector

Electrical qualification or time served experience.

Good working knowledge of health & safety procedures

Desirable:

Knowledge of automated assembly systems

PLC fault-finding, hydraulics, and pneumatic
