Are you a compassionate, experienced SEN Teacher looking for a short-term role this Summer? If so, we want to hear from you!

Teach Plus are currently working with a with a 3-form entry, diverse and vibrant primary school who are seeking a SEN Teacher to work in their SEN ARP Unit, starting after May half-term until the end of the academic year, potentially longer for the right candidate.

The school is an inclusive school that is rich in culture, dedicated teachers and teaching assistants work to the highest of standards to ensure pupils have the very best learning opportunities and build strong relationships with parents, pupils and colleagues.

As an SEN Teacher, you will be expected to:

• Plan and deliver creative and stimulating SEN lessons to meet the needs of all children with a range of special educational needs


• Be able to differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and age ranges for those children with SEND


• Establish a safe, purposeful and stimulating environment


• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children


• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, members of senior leadership team, class teachers, SEN support staff and external agencies such as Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists etc.

The ideal candidate for the SEN Teacher role will have:

• Recent experience as an SEN Teacher


• Strong knowledge of the UK Primary National Curriculum


• A passion and desire to work with children with special educational needs and be a role model as the children's SEN Teacher


• A good understanding of SEN policies and procedures


• The ability to direct and work with SEN Support staff, delegating responsibilities where necessary, as the SEN Teacher, support staff will report directly to you


• QTS or the equivalent degree to be able to teach in the UK


• Right to work in the UK
