Electrical Estimator

An Electrical Estimator is required in an established M&E company based in Nottinghamshire.

Duties:

• Reviewing project specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements;


• Analysing electrical systems and components to accurately estimate labour, materials and equipment costs;


• Liaising with engineers, projects managers, and clients to clarify project scope and objectives;


• Generating detailed cost estimates and proposals for electrical installations;


• Obtaining competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and services;


• Attending site visits and inspections to assess project conditions and requirements;


• Identifying potential risks, challenges, and opportunities for cost saving during the estimating process;


• Maintaining accurate records of project estimates and associated information;


• Communicating effectively with stakeholders to present and discuss project estimates and proposals;


• Providing support to project teams during the bidding, planning and construction phases of projects.

The Candidate must/must have:

• Proven experience as an electrical estimator within the construction industry with a deep understanding of electrical systems and materials.


• Strong analytical and mathematical skills to accurately estimate project costs, including labour, materials and equipment.


• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Familiarity with industry standards.


• Strong negotiating skills.


• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of SEC cypher estimating package or similar.


• 18th edition amendment 2.


• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.


• Health & Safety knowledge.
