As the PBS Team Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Providing strong leadership to the PBS team, monitoring the effectiveness of their performance across all services in line with objectives set by Director of Quality and regulation


• Demonstrating strong and effective conflict resolution and effective solutions where challenges may present within services


• Ensuring effective communication systems are in place that set out clear SLA agreements in relation to the work the wider SBS Team provider


• Maintaining, promoting and ensuring the wider team have awareness of current developments in practice and legislation and ensure our wider projects and policy are aligned to industry best practice


• Reviewing current PBS processes with the Head of Quality to ensure they remain effective and supportive of positive outcomes for people we support


• Working alongside the referrals and operations team to assess and support the transition and move-in of all supported people in the most appropriate way for each person


• Ensuring visibility in services to support teams with a hands-on approach, especially at times of high levels of intervention/support or cultural challenges.


• Undertaking protocol based functional assessments of supported individuals, direct and indirect observations and recordkeeping, interviews with the person who has been referred, family members and significant others involved in the person's life


• Participating in the PBS Team on-call rota and ensure this is effectively shared out to operational colleagues

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Have excellent communication skills - verbal and written


• Able to travel and work in services 4 days per week as appropriate


• Skilled and knowledgeable in creative and person centered approaches to work with people


• Ability to explain, develop and follow policies and protocols


• Ability to have a flexible approach to workload and manage your own time


• Understanding of current care practices in PBS, PCAS, RPI reduction, government initiatives & regulatory requirements

The successful PBS Team Manager will receive an excellent salary of £55,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a permanent full time role working through days.
