Role Overview:

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment.

You will work alongside a small team including a supervisor/engineering manager and two other engineers.

This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently at times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance (PPMs)


• Address and resolve main breakdowns typical in food factories (e.g., changing filters)


• Work on drives/motors and manage the top-up of stores


• Conduct visual inspections for faults, test mechanical parts, isolate problem areas, and take corrective action


• Ensure smooth operation of equipment by replacing worn and defective parts

Required Skills and Experience:

• 50:50 TIG welding/machining (lathes)


• Experience with conveyor belts, fill wrappers, metal detectors, and refrigeration/chillers


• Basic knowledge of PLCs, 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems


• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings


• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience


• Apprenticeship qualification is acceptable
