CNC Operator

Mego is super excited to announce opportunities for two CNC Operators.


Located just outside the charming market town of Kingsbridge, our client is a worldwide specialist manufacturer renowned for its world-class status in the market.


We are looking to speak with CNC Operators who ideally have 2-3 years of experience in machine operating/CNC.

However, due to opportunities on site, we warmly welcome applicants with less experience, as training can be provided.


What will you be doing?



  • Operating CNC Machines: You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components.

    This involves loading materials, programming the machines, and monitoring the production process.

  • Reviewing Drawings, Designs, and Specifications: Carefully review technical drawings, CAD designs, and specifications to ensure that the CNC machine is set up correctly and that the final product meets exact requirements.

  • Inspecting Finished Products: Conduct thorough inspections of finished products to ensure they meet all quality and design specifications.

    This includes using measuring tools and techniques to verify dimensions and tolerances.

  • Creating Custom Parts: Work on producing custom parts tailored to specific customer requests or detailed design specifications.

    This may involve programming the CNC machines for unique or complex parts and adjusting as needed to meet precise requirements.

  • Maintaining Machinery and Equipment: Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of CNC machines and related equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and effectively.

    This includes troubleshooting issues, making necessary repairs, and scheduling routine maintenance.


Experience:


We welcome CVs with varying levels of experience, but ideally, candidates should have the following qualifications:



  • An apprenticeship in engineering is preferred.

  • Experience in machining, metalworking, or a related field.

  • The ability to read 2D and 3D drawings is essential.

  • Experience with both manual and computer-controlled machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mathematical abilities are required.
