Role Overview
Blackfield Associates are currently supporting a leading European developer, operator and asset manager of Science and Innovation locations to recruit for a Business Development Director.
This is a newly created position and as BD Director you will be spearheading leasing opportunities within their UK portfolio.
This role involves identifying and converting potential tenants, thereby driving the business growth.
You will collaborate with pan-European sales teams to leverage a global network, focusing on leasing development assets and optimizing business performance through strategic relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquisition Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to attract potential tenants, maintain a strong pipeline through networking, referrals, and outreach.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed on market developments and competitive activities.
- Sales Execution: Drive acquisition and sales processes in the UK, understanding tenant needs and proposing suitable options.
- Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective tenants.
- Lease Negotiation: Negotiate lease terms with asset managers and management teams.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed leasing targets.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and high-quality tenant-focused materials.
- Performance Monitoring: Provide regular updates on KPIs, sales, and market data to the UK Asset Management Lead.
Candidate Profile
- Networking Skills: Ability to convert networks into deals.
- Commercial Acumen: Flexibility and creativity in dealing with a diverse portfolio.
- Industry Experience: Prior experience in Life Sciences and commercial real estate.
- Negotiation Proficiency: Strong negotiation skills with a focus on win-win solutions.
- Presentation Skills: Experience in giving presentations and hosting industry events.
- Travel: Willingness to travel globally.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering results for clients.
