Consultant - Psychiatrist

THE POSITION

Consultant Psychiatrist to join the esteemed Mental Health Division.

The accredited mental health services offer opportunities in a range of adult community and inpatient mental health services, including Enhanced GP Liaison and Hospital in the Home (HITH) services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to provide specialist medical services to patients.


• Promote patient safety and quality care.


• Provide leadership, orientation, training, supervision, and education for doctors in training and other health workers.


• Collaborate with the Service Director and other consultants to achieve performance standards and targets.


• Work within the defined scope of clinical practice recommended by the SMHS Area Medical Credentialing committee.

• Competitive Salary: $357,930 - $456,008 p.a.
  
  pro rata (inclusive of allowances and superannuation).


• Generous Leave Entitlements: 4-weeks annual leave, 1-week additional leave, 3-weeks professional development leave, and long service leave accruals.


• Relocation Costs: Up to $60,000 in relocation costs.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZAP)


• Registered medical practitioner with specialist AHPRA registration


• Australian Working Rights
