Clinical Director - Mental Health Services

As the Clinical Director of Mental Health Services, you will be a visionary and inspirational leader responsible for guiding and managing medical services within the Mental Health Service in Central Australia.

This role requires a confident decision-maker with a deep passion for overcoming the challenges inherent in delivering care in rural and remote locations, particularly for the distinctive and diverse populations of the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide high-level clinical leadership and strategic direction for Mental Health Services in the Central Australia Region.


• Collaborate with the Mental Health Service Leadership Team and report to the General Manager, Mental Health Services NT Health - Central Australia Region.


• Lead and support successful change initiatives, implementing contemporary models of service delivery.


• Foster a dynamic and inclusive multi-disciplinary environment, showcasing high-level leadership and managerial skills.


• Actively contribute to the vibrant community of Alice Springs and the surrounding areas.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Psychiatrist.


• Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent.


• Extensive clinical psychiatric experience in medical practice as a Staff Specialist.


• Demonstrated successful outcomes in delivering mental health services in a complex environment.
