Job Description:

Recruit Mint is actively seeking a skilled Centre Lathe Turner with experience in screw cutting to join our esteemed client based in St Ives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining traditional lathes to fabricate and shape various materials with precision.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Perform centre lathe turning and screw cutting operations.
• Utilize hand tools to measure, mark, and cut materials accurately.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment.

Candidate Profile:

• Proficiency in tooling for traditional lathe operations.
• Basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of lathe operations.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in lathe turning.
• Ability to fabricate and shape materials according to specifications.
• Experience in materials handling and proper storage techniques.
