Job Title: Repairs Planning Support Officer
Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday 8 AM - 4 PM
Type: 6 months temp
Location: Barnsley, S71.

Office based initially with hybrid working introduced after training

Start date: 23/07/2024

Our client are looking for an experienced Repairs Planning Support Officer to join their team.

You'll be responsible for undertaking the effective planning and co-ordination of all works for the trade teams, ensuring works are appointed to the correct engineer in the right location at the right time, promoting first time fix.
Job Role -



  • Work within the policies, criteria and timescales adopted by the organisation relating the scheduling of work (i.e.

    timescales for repairs, servicing, void turn-around, material distribution), as well as other Customer Promises for which the directorate is responsible

  • To effectively oversee diaries, schedule works, and manage operative's workloads to ensure completion of all jobs/tasks by the end of each working day.

    Utilising available resources by moving scheduled jobs amongst available engineers to optimise the output of each operative and ensuring that jobs/tasks are raised with the appropriate schedule of rates codes (SOR).

  • Ensure enquiries are dealt with during, or immediately following, the first contact with the customer.

    All enquiries to be processed within agreed performance standards, the Data Protection Act and the Group's confidentiality policy

  • Undertake a range of administrative and system maintenance duties to ensure that information is up to date, monitored and reported as required, including but not limited to housekeeping tasks, raising official Purchase Orders and other general administrative duties


Candidate Requirements -



  • Proven experience of coordinating, managing and maintaining appointments and diaries of maintenance operatives within a fast-paced and pressurised environment (desired)

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Word, and Excel

  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong Customer Service and Administration Skills
